The organized unit of the Athens Methodist Women, or AMW, is a community whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. The AMW serves to develop creative and supportive fellowship. This group also expands concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Membership in Athens Methodist Women is open to all women.

AMW General Meeting (all groups)
Meets monthly, first Monday at 9:30am
Sonshine Group - Meets monthly, 2nd Monday at 2 pm
Morning Group - Meets monthly, 2nd Tuesday at 9:30 am
Sundae Group -Meets as a need arises
AMW Task Force - Meets as a need arises
In addition to the general and group meetings, the AMW annual calendar including multiple unique events throughout the year as well as these standing events:
AMW Winter Breakfast, Fall Fellowship Dinner, and December Covered Dish Luncheon, Call to Prayer and Self-Denial

Department of Human Resources in Limestone County (foster children)
Hospice of Limestone County
Limestone County Churches Involved (LCCI)
Bereaved Family Meals

Henderson Settlement Ministry and Red Bird Mission Education Program (Campbell's Soup labels)
Ministry to nursing homes with monthly ice cream socials
Writing supportive letters to our missionaries
