September Mission Focus
SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE
Our mission focus for September will be preparing for an upcoming Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build that our church will sponsor. Our plan is to get 25 kids off the floor and into their own bed. You can sponsor a bed for only $250 and change a child’s life. Checks can be made to the church and designated for SHP. We will also need new in the package TWIN bedding (sheet sets, quilts or comforters) and standard pillows which can be put in the MISSIONS bins. Mostly we will need willing volunteers from our church to work on the actual day!

Faith Ministry
This ministry has several programs for serving northern Mexico in the cities of Reynosa, Naranjito, and Miguel Aleman. The homebuilding program is similar to Habitat for Humanity projects. Mission teams work on one or more houses during a week-long trip to Mexico. The teams also deliver food packages in the area of the churches, serve during the nutritional program, and play with the children who attend. Our children's department has packed and sent 'goody bags' containing crafts and treats the Mexican children always enjoy. Our youth department has written prayer cards, which are read to the family and put in the concrete blocks as the house is being constructed, surrounding the house in prayer.
On their trips, the youth held VBS for the local children and worked on house construction during their week there. Many of our church members sponsor children's education through scholarships.
When: A mission trip in the fall, donations throughout the year. Faith Ministry church compound and clinic in Reynosa, Mexico. The next trip will be October 18-25 2024.
Where: Faith Ministry Church Compound and clinic in Reynosa, Mexico
Needs: Missionaries for the annual trip, monetary donations for food distribution, nutritional programs, medical clinic supplies, formula, and vitamins, and sponsoring a student's education.
