ABOUT FAITH MINISTRY

REYNOSA, MEXICO

HOUSING
Since 1994, Faith Ministry volunteers and mission work groups have built over 2,000 houses for families in need. The cinderblock and cement houses we build provide families with the shelter, warmth and security they need. Mission work groups spend a week in Mexico building a house alongside our staff and volunteers, laying blocks and creating a home.

COMMUNITY WELLNESS
We want the communities we work in to be healthy in body and spirit. We have a medical clinic in Reynosa, where we treat patients daily and provide free medication. We have a children’s nutrition program in four different areas and an infant feeding program in Reynosa to help babies grow in a healthy way. We also have a garden that provides fresh produce for our nutrition program, our community and the church congregation.

EDUCATION & EMPOWERMENT
Our scholarship program helps offset school costs for over 190 students from kindergarten through college. Through our skills training program, we want to empower men and women to learn skills that can create new opportunities for them, such as carpentry, sewing, construction foremanship and music.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We desire for others to know God and aim to share the love of Christ in everything we do. At our two churches in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán, we want to create opportunities for our community to develop and grow in a relationship with God through weekly services, Bible studies and prayer circles.

Building a house, one at a time
Since 1994, Faith Ministry volunteers and mission work groups have built over 2,000 houses for families in need. The cinderblock and cement houses we build provide families with the shelter, warmth and security they need. 9 Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

THE NEED

Almost half of Mexico (that’s 54 million people) live below the national poverty line.
With a minimum wage of $4 an hour, many families in Mexico struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis.

A lot of the families in the colonias where we work live in homes pieced together by spare pieces of wood and corrugated aluminum, many times fitting a family of six in a 200-square foot space.

INSTRUCTIONS

This below form filler tool link  is not an online passport application.

Instead, the form filler allows you to electronically enter your data and print a paper form with a barcode unique to the data entered. Once you electronically complete your answers and print the form, you will then submit the form by mail, or in person, depending on the form type. (DS-82 and DS-5504 forms by mail; DS-11 form in person)

Since the data you enter is directly captured in your application’s unique barcode, please do not make any handwritten changes, corrections or additions to the data, or to the form after it is printed, as it may cause data errors and processing delays.

If you notice an error after printing your form, or if you leave a field blank, please start over and complete a new form.
Alert to families: Please do not use software programs or tools to digitally transfer or copy data from one family member’s passport application form to another, as the barcode and information is only tied to one applicant’s data.

Most applicants age 16-17 must apply in person using Form DS-11
For the DS-11 form, do not sign your name. You must wait to take the oath and sign the form in front of a passport acceptance agent at a designated passport acceptance facility or in front of a U.S. Department of State employee at a passport agency or center.

Your information is not saved by the form filler and can no longer be accessed after you print your form.
Please carefully check your answers because you cannot correct typographical or data errors after the form is printed.

Routine: 6-8 weeks*

Expedited: 2-3 weeks and an extra $60*

*Mailing times are not included in processing times. Processing times only include the time your application is at one of our passport agencies or centers. The total time to get your passport includes both processing and mailing times. It may take up to 2 weeks for applications to arrive by mail at a passport agency or center, and up to 2 weeks for you to receive a completed passport in the mail after we print it.
